Responsibilities
- Provide treatment for patients with severe and common psychiatric disorders
- Provide training and supervision to medical staff on mental health disorders
- Offer supervision and support to national psychologists and counselors
- Ensure availability of guidelines and psychotropic medications
- Collect proper information on treatment and follow up
- Evaluate in-country available psychiatric services
- Form a relationship with MoH and explore sustainability
- Establish collaboration with medical specialties for a multidisciplinary approach
- Supervise doctors and nursing team providing psychiatric care
- Build the capacity of the MH team to manage psychiatric patients
- Implement the expanded MHGAP approach
- Improve the quality of care in psychiatric services
- Improve access to quality psychiatric services
- Ensure rational use of psychotropic drugs
- Implement the metabolic follow up protocol for psychiatric patients
- Train and guide the management of psychiatric emergencies
- Manage psychiatric care MH referrals
- Supervise and follow data collection of medical tools
- Support activities in Day Care Center
